Lake Almanor

This was one of the best weekend's I have had in a long time (although Grant wasn't able to be with us) we still had a good time but missed him dearly!!! Some of our good friends rented a cabin up in Lake Almanor and invited us and another close couple friends of ours. We are all great friends and enjoy each other's company so much. It's great to have friends that you can have great conversations with and that you can totally be yourself around. I guess it wasn't all about me the kids had a great time also.
Outside the cabin sledding. This kids were out there for hours!
The famous girls, that got us adults to be friends. Thanks girls
Taylor and Matthew attempting to go down the hill. I believe they almost ran into a tree (I recall yelling at Taylor, BE CAREFUL)
BEST BUDS
What a smile on Matthew's face, he loved every minute of it. Until he got cold of course.
We went on a beautiful walk down to the Lake
Shawna and Matthew on one of their many snow mobiles.
Matthew trying to sled down the hill. Every time he would get up on top of the hill he would lose his sled.

Taylor getting ready to go on the snow mobile! Doesn't he look good!

Undefeated

Grant coached Taylors Rec Team this year and had a great time. They went UNDEFEATED and Grant was really excited about this, Can you tell? It was a great season, now on to School Basketball!

Matthew's Big Day

Happy Birthday Matthew!
Helping make his wonderful birthday cake, or maybe just licking the frosting.
Matthew helped frost and decorate the cupcakes and cake. He did a better job than I would have done, I am sure of that.
What a Happy Kid
We went to my parents house for the real party. Grandma and Grandpa had a awesome treasure hunt planned for Matthew and of course Ellie and Taylor. I am so lucky to have such a awesome mom who loves to make her grandchildren happy. They found a clue in the bathroom.

The last clue took Matthew to my parents bedroom where he found this great old fashion trike. He loved it. This picture was taken when we got back home. We didn't even need to get him any presents because this was the favorite.
Happy Birthday Big Boy! I love you with all my heart. I think you will be the Funny Bone of the Family!

The Thunder Storm

I brought Thunder in from the terrible rain and wind this afternoon. I found him like this a few minutes ago. We thought he looked like a teacher, so we had to take a picture. He is dirty and not looking so pretty but we love him anyway.

Matthew is turning 3

I absolutely love being a Mom to this little boy
It's a BOY, our little miracle
Taylor loved him from the get go

Tiny little thing
The night before his big 3 years Birthday

I've got the whole world in my hands
Your nose measured 1/2 inch and your arm was 16 inches. What will it be tomorrow?

Matthew and his googly eyes

Do I need to say anything?

New's Year Eve

Grant's sister Renae and her family came to visit us over New's Years. We really enjoyed having them here and are so glad they came. We hope visiting us has convinced you to move from the dismal Utah to beautiful California.
While they were here, we took them to the Refuge. Maybe Gridley doesn't have much to offer but the kids had fun.
Taylor waiting his turn for the telescope
Ellie and Erica
This wasn't even all of us. Can you believe it! We had so much fun. I love it when family visits.
Most of the boys slept outside. The kids played kick the can all night and came in with a ton of mud and smiling faces. I think I did 30 loads of laundry that weekend and I'm not even kidding.
Another tent
We had a talent show the night before they were leaving. These people don't look that excited but it was a great show.
When it was Matthew's turn he got his piano book out, turned to the page and just started banging on the piano. He was so confident about himself. It was awesome!
Another one of Matthew's talent. He loves to get his trumpet piece out while Taylor is practicing. He blows better than some of Taylor's friends who play.
The dual, my boys playing together. It can't get any better than this
I am not sure if the kids are excited the talent show is over or if they want dessert!
